Concussion

Finding Relief in Every Session

giphy.gif

We're waking up to the reality that even seemingly minor head injuries can have profound long-term effects, manifesting as anxiety, depression, brain fog, suicide ideation, and general apathy. This could be why so many people find little relief from traditional antidepressants. Take a look at this gif. A simple slap can move your brain this much! Imagine an accident or repetitive contact sport?

At The Wellness Center, with over 12,000 sessions successfully facilitated, we are confident that relief for concussed brains is not just a possibility—it's a reality. Whether used as a stand alone treatment or in conjunction with a skilled functional neurologist, total relief is within reach.

The Graded Symptom Checklist (GSC)

We utilize a Graded Symptom Checklist (GSC) to systematically track and monitor the symptoms reported by our clients who have experienced concussions. This self-assessment tool allows clients to rate the severity of their symptoms on a scale ranging from 0 ("no symptoms") to 6 ("severe"). Higher scores indicate more severe symptoms.

On average, initial assessments typically show clients reporting symptom severity in the range of 4 to 6. However, after six sessions, there is a significant reduction in reported symptoms, with scores commonly falling between 0 and 2 for the symptoms outlined below.
